Former Employee They are a independent wholesale grocery sales company. Very oldschool, which is somewhat nice, but at the moment… dangerous. The competition is advancing rapidly. Whereas BEK’s order system looks as if it is straight out of Windows 95. The warehouse I was part if is located in DFW. They have a strong local business opportunity environment, but when you work outside of a 1.5 hour radius of the warehouse, you get NO admin support. They keep local mid level management busy sending in system reports and doing admin work. At least that is what i was told. District managers not able to get out to do “ride withs/work withs” which i thought detrimental. You are on your own too much so. Do not lead with selling beef. They are not at all market relevant. Also, somewhat of a “Good Ole Boys” club. Hard to get in that club when your territory is 3 hours away from ground zero/the main distribution center. I dont feel like my time here was wasted, but I would definitely have done something different if I knew then what I know now.
