Unfortunately, it is clear that Shopify has not fully evolved into a sales focused company as a whole. It seems like new roadblocks are introduced every week.
Operationally it is wildly disorganized. Simple tasks take a long time to do, due to poor processes. There are tons of redundant tools so you never know where to find answers. On top of it, you cannot find much historical activity data in our CRM or slack due what seems like cost savings on data storage.
One of Shopify's core values are to 'thrive on change', but they take it many steps too far. Quota changes every quarter without reason and isn't revealed until days before. They get rid of vital tools at a whim without consulting with reps. They change ROE constantly. And they change books of business without a clear path of your book having enough value to actually get you to quota.
Overall, I love the team, love the product, but am struggling with the reality of working here and the poor processes, data, and tooling
