Cloud Sales Index

q3 2025

Quota Attainment finally shows some signs of life and closes Q3-2025 above 43% across the Cloud Sales Index - the highest reported level since Q2-2023. Inbound Leadflow Sentiment also marginally rose after setting its record low in Q2-2025. Unsurprisingly, much of this progress is attributable to the Data & AI sub-vertical, which is continuing to outperform with Quota Attainment nearing 50%. The largest ACV ‘Key Accounts’ segment of sellers saw impressive gains in both deal size and Quota Attainment – indicating healthy trends in the highest end of the B2B sales landscape.

The RepVue Cloud Sales Index (comprising 249 companies with ~49,720 quota-carrying sales professional ratings and over 2 million data points), enables us to provide a clear macro picture of where sales professionals are succeeding, which organizations are outperforming their peers and other deep insights into the B2B sales landscape.

01

Quota Attainment trends higher

Sales professionals in the Cloud Index saw stronger Quota Attainment in Q3-2025, finishing the quarter with 43.24% attainment. Inbound Leadflow Sentiment came in at 2.73, reversing the stark negative dip to all-time lows in Q2-2025. The progress in Quota Attainment should give some optimism, but we’ll need a string of consecutive quarters of more material progress before we can definitely claim any sustained reversal is underway.

Quota AttainmentLead Flow

It is Important to note that the largest component of the Cloud Index in terms of survey sample size comes from the Cybersecurity sub-vertical, which carries with it both the lowest Quota Attainment and Inbound Leadflow Sentiment averages. This large drag on the overall Cloud Index makes some of the progress in other sub-verticals muted in the overall trend.

02

Data & AI continues to gain momentum

Both the Data & AI and Sales Tools sub-verticals saw YoY gains in Quota Attainment north of 7%, helping to buoy the overall gains observed in the Cloud Sales Index. They both also experienced gains in Inbound Leadflow Sentiment, with Sales Tools leading all sub-verticals with an average of 2.90 across a broad spectrum of both private and public companies, including Salesforce, the largest component of the entire Index.

The DevOps and Developer Tools sub-vertical saw weaker performance in both Quota Attainment and Inbound Leadflow Sentiment YoY – much of this is attributed to two of the larger components of the sub-industry, Atlassian and Splunk which saw softer YoY marks. HR Tools saw Quota Attainment eclipse 45%, driven by better performance in private company solutions compared to their public company comps.

All Deal Sizes see YoY gains

Nothing but positive improvements across all ACV buckets, led by $200K+

All 5 of our Average Deal Size buckets saw progress in Quota Attainment YoY, with two of the smaller buckets, those under 50K in ACV, being the only lagging global average of Quota Attainment across the broader Cloud Index in Q3-2025. The largest deal sizes, those with ACV greater than $200K, continue to show the best individual Quota Attainment results with 48.33% of sales reps able to meet or exceed quota.

Sales Cycles extend across all deal sizes

Mild lengthening of average Sales Cycles across the Cloud Index.

Deals are taking longer, and it doesn’t matter what size deal you’re selling. Balance that with the broad-based improvement in Quota Attainment, and it makes those results look even more important given they were achieved in what is generally a tougher selling environment. Time kills deals, which is why we want to see these cycles compressing for a healthier signal.

Key Accounts ACV breaks 300K

Mid-Market and Key Accounts Division both set record highs for ACV

Key Accounts Average Deal Sizes rose over 20% YoY to finish at over 324K in Q3-2025, the first such recording exceeding 300K. Mid-Market sellers also experienced a 16% YoY increase in ACV to over $67K setting a high-water mark for this division as well. Enterprise and SMB segments were largely in line with previously established ranges. Some of these gains in ACV could have been the difference to square the gains seen in Quota Attainment against the lengthening in Sales Cycles. Bigger deals help you get to quota faster!
