Former Employee I had strong success and great leadership during my time at Altus, but the organization went through constant executive turnover and restructuring. My first departure was due to a restructure that removed opportunities for my team. When I later rejoined, new leadership again changed direction—siloing roles, shifting priorities, and ultimately initiating multiple rounds of layoffs, including outsourcing parts of the business.
I was moved to support a newly acquired product that had performed well overseas but wasn’t mature for the U.S. market. Expectations were high, but the solution lacked key features, internal teams weren’t aligned on rollout, and pricing changes created friction for customers already navigating multiple forced migrations. These challenges, combined with ongoing organizational shifts, ultimately impacted stability and long-term success in the role. When impacted by the 5th round of layoffs, I wasn't even considered for another role. Since my return back to Altus, I consistently saw people let go regardless of tenure and previous success, just because they were segmented into a role that would not perform. Altus is notorious for rolling out comp plans late, sometimes 3-5 months . Some of my best years in sales was at Altus, but company has definitely changed.
