How would you assess the coaching and development provided by your sales leadership team at GE Healthcare? Would you recommend pursuing a sales role at GE Healthcare based on your experience with the sales leadership?

coaching depends on manager.  there are options for development but you have to do them on your own time which means you aren't getting paid for it.  You can start a job at GE but I wouldn't stick around for too long.  The culture is very bad and the pay doesnt keep up with the market.  in addition quotas get harder and harder to attain.

Coaching and development is above average.  The company stance on their People has changed since they spun off from GE in JAN23.  They care more about profits, with people coming in last (IMO).  There is a list of very long term executives that have fallen on the sword (recently) in part bc the business unit did not make their numbers.  Again, IMO the top 3 leaders within the healthcare business have coached Region Presidents and Global Product Mgrs to state:  "we will course correct our lack of performance by making personnel changes..."  That appeases wall street and the Board but crushes the culture and trust of other employees who witness the sudden changes.  It's not the same company I started with years ago.  If you are looking for a sales role that is customer facing, you can find good roles there.  If you ever want to move into a leadership role; have a back up plan; watch your back, you can trust very few.

I would argue that it all hinges on the leader, of whom there are many. Based on my experience, I had to take the initiative regarding development and coaching, which did not come from my direct leader but from others within the company. It's crucial to ask the right questions to ensure that it's a good match for you and aligns with your career aspirations. A significant amount can depend on the leader you report to.
