Gilson offered a neutral environment to gain experience in biotech sales. The products were well-regarded, and the team collaborated effectively. Leadership transitions brought some shifts in direction, but day-to-day operations remained steady. Compensation and tools, including the CRM, met expectations, and there was a fair amount of autonomy in managing accounts. While advancement opportunities existed, they were somewhat limited. The company maintained a focus on scientific standards and customer relationships, making it a reasonable fit for those looking to grow in a technical sales role.

Great product, well known, sometimes bought for name value. Unreachable expectations, no training, capped commissions until Q4 (so if you hit 150% in Q1, you better hope you hit 100% for the rest of the year and reach annual territory goals or you won’t see it). Poor communication amongst upper management. The salespeople below the directorship are a revolving door...Read More
