Former Employee Spent 8 years in a sales role with high expectations and little upward mobility. Despite consistently exceeding quota, my commissions were cut year after year, and my base salary remained well below that of newer hires. The company underwent constant leadership turnover (5 CEOs during my tenure), which created instability and shifting priorities. COVID severely impacted operations, and supply chain issues continue to affect product availability. The role demands much more than sales — you're also responsible for account management, installations, and service coordination — all while spending 3–4 days a week on the road. For the workload and stress level, the compensation is simply not competitive.
