Pre acquisition by Thoma Bravo - Nearmap was an energetic and exciting place to work. After changes to management including a new CRO - management has systematically and carelessly dismantled the long standing culture of innovation and collaboration and enforcing a culture that would make historical dictators proud. Those at the top of GTM functions refuse to listen to internal experts and make rash decisions regarding strategy and personell with no regard for how it will affect customer relations and future prospect to customer functions. If you want to achieve quota and be set up for success, Nearmap is not the place to be until management changes and they bring in actual leaders.

Once the new CSM leadership in AU started, the culture and motivation dropped enormously. The company was bought by private equity firm Thoma Bravo 2 years ago and it’s now a dreadful company to work at. The whole CSM team is looking for a new job now or have already left.

Changes in leadership has lead to a lack of opportunity for growth, training in current position, and higher and higher expectations with little to no support for how to achieve those expectations. In the past 4 months, more than half the entire sales team has either been fired or quit to pursue other opportunities.
