Honestly very legit company, the reviews you see on Repvue & Glassdoor is real as they get. Everything here is very transparent. It's a fast paced environment and the company is on track to becoming a powerhouse in the industry, if you join now you'll be in an amazing spot long term. They did recently change comp structure, but its realistically not as different as other reviews say it is. Still very attainable. Everyone here has extremely high energy, its so so fun. Really does not feel like a real job a lot of the times. Deserves to be #1 on Repvue.

Pay was high compared to the industry average and there were a lot of opportunities from BDR's and inbound demand (most reps have a full cal). However, I started to feel horrible selling the product to desperate businesses owners, as the product didn't do what we told them (it doesn't work and I felt I was lying to innocent people) and the churn was crazy. Appreciate you taking the time to leave this review because a bunch of what you shared is very accurate and good context for folks thinking about joining Owner. One important correction, however. What you got right - Pay is competitive. We pay well and set targets that people can hit. The last time we pulled the data, the average OTE attainment was 148% for AEs (fair targets + accelerators = $). There are no Faux-TE’s here. - There are lots of opportunities to advance from SDR to BDR to AE to Manager to Director. There should be ~10 BDR to AE promotes this year and that number will hopefully grow materially in 2026 as our team matures. Two of our BDR Managers started as BDRs, were promoted to AE and are now managing. Our BDR Director started as a BDR Manager after a stint managing an AE team. Our AE Director started as the BDR Director. Tons of career velocity for exceptional people. - Yes, we will still coach you EVEN if you’re hitting your quota. We believe deeply in growth and continuous improvement so if you just want to hit your quota and be left completely alone because you’re too good to practice, Owner isn’t a good fit for you. - Yes, there is certainly a form of favouritism. We favour people that develop their craft through reading, listening to podcasts, seeking out feedback and sharing best practices with each other. We recognize people who are kind to their teammates, bring good energy, and raise the bar for themselves and those around them (like with our monthly values award). We also promote people who demonstrate that they are honing their sales craft and not just brute forcing their way to their number. Attainment matters a lot but it's not the only thing we look at. What you got wrong - Our churn is close to best in class for restaurant and SMB but that doesn’t mean every single customer will be wildly successful and a significant part of our churn is restaurant closure. Ownerds should be incredibly proud of the product we have. By almost any metric, Owner is the clear winner in our category and the gap is getting wider every month. We’re the highest rated software in all of restaurant technology on G2 and Trust Pilot. Hopefully candidates can read between the lines, view this in the context of the other reviews (Owner is rated in the top 2% of all companies on RepVue) and make a judgement for themselves where this review may have originated from.
