Former Employee Company provided with excellent international career opportunities and freedom to own my business line - management was relatively supportive of taking risks, as long as the numbers were there. But hard times made management crumble and the excellent culture - which compensated for average comp - turned ugly.
I would still recommend the company, but your success will depend heavily on both your management.
Important note: bonus and not commission - there is a discretionary aspect to the variable comp.
