This company didn't operate with honesty or integrity about goals or career development. I hit President's club for most of my career but was overlooked due to other candidates that "Fit the Culture" profile better. Typical good old boy network that advances people related to who's friends with who. I think it would be better to work for another company or another industry. Paint is becoming a commodity and other industries offer more blue ocean, especially with frequent raw material shortages and international shipping changing the domestic supply chain. Better opportunities selling anything else in my opinion.

Sherwin is a big conglomerate corporate company. They have good benefits and are stable. You also have a strong compensation plan. However, working in a store is stressful and the company relies on skeleton crews.

Compensation is not great, and some district managers want you to handle yearly inventory counts, which can be horrible. There is also a lack of work-life balance.
