StreamSets used to be a great company to work for. Pay was always lower than the industry average but benefits used to be great. They have been acquired twice over the course of the last year, most recently by IBM. Currently still owned by Software AG, where things were chaotic and unstable. SDR team & managers did their best but mismanagement and lack of organization and communication by Software AG and higher leadership completely ruined the good StreamSets had. Towards the end of my time, work environment had become completely toxic.

Three acquisitions over the past 3 years. One was a hostile takeover by PE firm SilverLake. SoftwareAG internal processes are horrendous and make it difficult to work (security processes make it near impossible to login to your computer, applications, etc). StreamSets was an amazing company with a fantastic company culture until a few years ago. Sales environment became toxic and goals became unachievable. After the SAG acquisition, everything went even further downhill.
