How challenging is it to outsell competitors in the sales role at TigerGraph?  Looks pretty difficult in the current environment?

The graph database market is less than saturated, though the enterprise analytics market is. Getting people to look at graph analytics is challenging when they've already invested so much time in SQL/NoSQL, though it is rewarding to see how excited people get about the capabilities, and enterprise companies are always looking for new ways to leverage their data. Their top competitors are Neo4j and Amazon Neptune. Neo4j is in 100% of their opportunities, and that is far from a two-way street. Databricks and MongoDB will be the two largest players you'll come across in your competitive takeout campaigns. Your best bet will be to leverage technology partnerships. The percentage of opps won from cold outbound is incredibly low, and with the recent layoffs of the entire marketing team, it's hard to believe the inbounds are of any sort of quality.

If you are not familiar with this space and selling into it, you will not be provided with the adequate enablement needed. It's a sinking ship with zero transparency and honesty, just consistently feeding the sales team Kool-Aid to try to keep them excited. Sales rep to sales rep, a job's a job, but there are better opportunities out there. Good luck!
