Hey cyber sales people - I'm at a larger vendor right now and looking at smaller vendors for a move into something a bit more challenging and (hopefully) more lucrative. I'm looking at Corporate/Mid-Market gigs right now and have been looking at Chainguard, Vanta, Drata, Tines, etc. Anyone have companies that fit that same profile that they'd recommend?
Fastly could be your move. A challenger for security products (WAF, DDoS, Bot) with good enterprise track record and a lot of commercial/mid market traction. Product is differential, platform a bit narrow compared to Cloudflare. If you sell, you can make good money.
Be careful what you wish for... sometimes it's the largest vendors that pay the most - at least to top performers. Wouldn't necessarily expect to make more at smaller companies. If the goal is to increase earnings I'd focus on making sure you're on a team with strong PMF and quota attainment.
Honestly, I’d hold steady for now. Chasing a higher paycheck in this market might not be the smartest play. Instead, ask yourself: How can I maximize the comp plan, accounts, and territory I already have? There’s often more leverage in optimizing what’s in front of you than starting from scratch somewhere else.
Abnormal Security is probably worth checking out.
