I personally would target a mid-to-large size company with brand recognition and a good training program. Those firms tend to have higher turnover and burn out after a few years making them not necessarily a great long-term fit BUT a great strategic jumping off point for someone first getting in sales. You’ll learn the fundamentals quickly, adopt a high sense of urgency, and figure out which aspects of the job you like and dislike— all of which you can leverage in your next job search!
