Serious question: I have been in my territory for 1.5 years, I have a smaller market due to being sandwich between two metro forest parks. The current way things are structured are that principal reps get all expansions, well one rep closed 34 deals in my territory last year not to mention 1 other principal has all of the big groups in the area leaving me to scrape up new opens and any little crumbs I can get. Thoughts on career advice? Stay? Leave?

Hmm - certainly sounds like a tough situation - but hard to give advice without more details. How many does did you close in the year, while another rep closed 34 in your territory? Sounds like it's structured such that you're supposed to be focused on new logos?

I closed 33 deals. There has also been some accounts that were referrals in my territory that should've have been mine but the senior rep received them but were never shared with me, the other rep closed the deals and management never circled back to clear anything up. While I am new business, the senior reps have the large accounts in my territory and claim that they are acquiring these smaller businesses and they are expansion and they putting them under that parent account. Which I spoke with a customer and they confirmed they were not acquired. I understand what it takes to develop a territory, and timing plays into it. I am at a loss on how to proceed. The company is amazing but that's not a reason to stick around to potentially underperform and lose money.

What does your sales manager say? What's your potential to earn a new territory?

I haven’t mentioned it due to the only territory available being a recent split of a principal reps that’s had that territory for a few years. I would be open to a flex position but not sure if that would be an option.
