Former Employee My time at 24 Hour Fitness was a mix of great in-club leadership and frustrating corporate decisions. My direct manager was fantastic, but upper management was out of touch. They consistently made short-sighted cuts that hurt operations and left customer facing team members to explain their actions. This led to an awful experience for both parties.
Toward the end of my time there corporate cut the janitorial hours dramatically. Subsequently most of my time was spent cleaning instead of focusing client acquisition or helping my team improve.
The fitness industry is evolving, and 24 is struggling to keep up. I truly enjoyed most of the people and loved my job until the final six months.
