I've been at BlueCat many years and it was once a "hidden gem that has been around for 20+ years that operates as a startup", and that culture is long gone. PE has come in, lowered commission rates, off-shored the renewals team to Serbia, and we don't even get Quota Retirement for all of the products we sell anymore. The one silver lining is the product is good, we're a market leader, and network experts know BlueCat.

New business does not achieve its targets. Very hard to sell to new customers as you're competing against free MS. Very long sales cycles, 18 months from beginning to end.
