Cisco has a great culture, fair compensation, and opportunities for growth. We are moving more towards a recurring revenue model which means people need to adapt but with such a large customer base it should be easy to take more market share in the software space.

I really enjoyed my time and experience with Cisco but unfortunately I ran into a manager that wanted to push me out so I left after 14 years with the firm before that manager could get rid of me; so don't let that deter you.
