I really enjoyed working for Copper and performed well. Sadly the company laid off a big proportion of staff in late 2023 to focus their resources on improving the product which hadn't been significantly changed over the years. This under investment in the product meant that despite some excellent features and USP's Copper was starting to fall behind the competition. I loved working at Copper and would happily work for them again

Copper acting as a custodian without proper licenses make the time to market significantly longer than competitors. Priced significant higher than competitors to cover its onerous onboarding processes and account management. Its flagship product is also being copied by competitors. I worked there pre-covid. Overall it was a good experience to get saas sales experience. Deal size was pretty small so high velocity required to hit quota, which changed all the time. Not a ton of consistency while I was there in terms of KPI metrics and multiple layoffs.
