Entrust failed. They screwed up their SSL product, didn't make the right changes and they got distrusted by Google and Mozilla. As a result, the company sold off that portion of the business to Sectigo. Because of their mistakes, they laid off about 25% of their workforce on 3/31/25-the last day of the fiscal year. Weak severance package and they just said "your position has been eliminated." Because of the SSL issues, Entrust has lost it's reputation and not too many people trust them anymore.

Unfortunately Entrust have a habit of acquiring organisations and failing to make company integrations work. Rather than fully understanding what they’ve taken on, they take revenue streams for granted while not retaining or encouraging their new employees - the recent well-documented distrust situation affecting their certificate business being a great example....Read More
