This is a tricky industry with a ubiquitous product. Fourth’s HotSchedules was once cutting edge and standalone but now many other companies have come in competing on price or adding it on to their other offerings. Payroll is also fairly ubiquitous. Prospecting can be challenging because most solutions are relatively similar so people are only evaluating if they are having a really bad vendor experience. Restaurants are also very different to navigate compared to traditional B2B SaaS, often times there is incomplete information to work with.

My overall experience is okay. Achievements are most leaders want to help you be successful. Challenge is resources are not often provided specifically at an enterprise level.

Fourth has a decent to strong product but has struggled aligning its goals with realistic numbers. Only one rep in the US hit Quota this past year, who has since left the company. There is a high rate of hiring and firing and the plan this year is essentially to keep doing what we’re doing but with a higher quota.
