My experience was very good. Organization changes were hard to keep up with. This company “IHS” no longer exists. It became IHS Markit (not A misspelling of market) and since has been acquired by S&P Global, along with every other research company in the category. I was laid off when I got older and got comments at gatherings like”old white huh.” Being old and white was not good. So they hired a guy for my job 25 years younger and fitting diversity. Could not prove it so no legal case. Besides, older white guys have a hard time with a case of discrimination.

Overall experience was decent. It’s a mature market and a saturated marketplace, so new deals are possible but more scarce. This was engineering and product design, which is now owned by private equity. They were compressing comps as I was leaving so it may be worse, now.

Great company to work for, lots of inbound leads. Opportunity is there to do very well if you’re in the right team with the right book of clients.
