Former Employee Informa is a Trade show organizer and I worked in the life sciences division. everything was great in our industry until covid hit and truly crushed the hospitality industry. once that happened all of our events transformed from 100% live to 100% virtual and we were asked to continue selling with little to know additional compensation other than our base. in 2022 once events started transitioning from 100% virtual to a hybrid format, our compensation packages changed dramatically from what they were prior to covid with higher targets than pre-covid and commision payouts essentially cut in half.
it was devistating. due to the format of our events, many of them have been consolidated into larger events eliminating a large portion of the sales and marketing teams.
