Former Employee The integration with Google Cloud has been a rocky one for Looker. During my tenure there became more friction for the sales org making the product harder to sell. The roadmap for Looker did not seem prioritized compared to other GCP products/services.
A lot of systems/processes slowed us down and the competition is extremely fierce. Typically, deals were lost when we were too slow to react to the market or pricing. Looker often times is 10x the cost of the competition so value selling is huge internally.
