Account manager roles I would describe as an in between stage. It’s a stepping stone and requires financial sacrifice as you work your way to a BDM role. I would never recommend this position to anyone. However if you are willing to stick it out, BDM role unlocks the potential to have an amazing comp structure in a growing market.
