Commission percentage fluctuates based on profitability of products sold. Margins are often tight, sometimes even negative so average commission percentage was 2 percent. In addition the house draw is aggressive. My house draw currently eats 85% of my commissions. So even at plan (hitting quota) I’d make 64k in commission for the year. Medline pockets our commissions while most reps are working 60+ hours a week.

Medline is a great company for someone who is wanting to get their feet wet in medical sales. There has been a lot of changes to leadership as of late. Medline continues to grow at a high mark but this does cause some challenges. High turnover and the fact that it is growing creates a lot of new positions.
