Current Employee When I joined Moody’s, the culture was electric — collaborative, motivated, and inspiring. That magic has vanished. The tone has shifted to “nothing is ever enough.” Record-breaking pipeline generation gets praised up the chain, but the reps who actually create it are ignored, criticized, and underpaid. Compensation plans are far below industry standards, especially in Corporates, leaving top performers frustrated and disengaged.
Leadership has been the biggest disappointment. The head of sales is more focused on parading his family through the perks of Moody’s NFL partnership than on engaging with his team. While employees are publicly insulted and demoralized, we’re forced to watch his kids enjoy access we’ll never see. Add in broken promises to Wall Street, the abrupt exit of a 35-year company president, and two failed product launches in a single year — and you start to see the cracks widening.
The go-to-market motion has whiplashed from “bet everything on new solutions” to “beg reps to sell the legacy products.” Morale is in free fall, reps are actively job hunting, and leadership has lost the locker room.
Moody’s is facing a mutiny. Until serious change happens, steer clear.
