Northwestern Mutual operates as a franchise, where you are the business owner. I would not recommend this role if you are a late career changer, unless you have a deep rolodex of wealthy friends/former colleageus.

My overall experience has been great. However, this is a career designed for the following: 1) Young individuals with no responsibilities. 2) People that grew up in their market. 3) Individuals with a partner that can cover costs while you build your practice.
