There is a stark contrast between Orum’s public image and internal reality. While their marketing team stands out as a world class, creating industry-leading content through genuine collaboration, the rest of the organization tells a troubling story. The company operates on a concerning "vibes"-based culture, where favoritism trumps merit and leadership weaponizes personal conversations against their own employees. Executive behavior is particularly problematic, openly disparaging former employees who join competitors like Nooks, even encouraging to the blocking of Nooks employees. The harsh reality? Once you're PIP’d , you're essentially already terminated. These PIPs are designed with impossible standards, typically giving employees just 1-2 weeks before inevitable termination. Their self-proclaimed "ELITE" sales team status is merely a facade – you're just a number, expendable at any moment regardless of your historical performance. It’s a revolving door. The product itself struggles with persistent bugs, latency issues, and subpar integrations, losing 70% of head-to-head competitions with their main competitor. They recently lost one of their largest customers, and their churn rate exceeds acquisition – a telling sign of deeper issues. The toxic combination of arbitrary performance standards, technical issues, and leadership challenges makes it a risky choice for both employees and customers.
