Great initial training and development. Inbound leads are next to non-existent. Brand recognition/familiarity was a common obstacle when prospecting. Current CRM being used called Netsuite was incredibly slow and had constant issues that really slowed down productivity. Your leads in the CRM consist of whatever the previous sales rep in the territory added. You will need to re-qualify everything in the database as a lot of it is outdated. Prudential is a good employer to start your sales career but it is incredibly hard to make it a long-term career due to the industry being dominated by much larger brands like Cintas. Uniform rental service is an increasingly harder industry to sell in as companies no longer require uniform service beyond small auto shops or employers that require PPE. Prudential struggles to win smaller accounts due to their $50 service minimum. Larger accounts are also difficult to win due to the market being dominated by the big 3 companies. Prudential relies heavily on being family-owned and the promise of great service to be enough to close the deal. The pricing is competitive, but certain garments like FR the company struggles to stay competitive with.
