Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Decent overall but 100% is a retail role. You are in Home Depot every day you work and there are no remote opportunities at any office in the company as far as I know. Very easy to interview to get promoted but nobody wants to be a territory manager because the pay is almost the same as the rep role but with a 7 day workweek of responsibilities. If you interview for corporate roles, just know that you will be stuck with the options of moving to South Carolina or Wisconsin. That is really all there is. Most promotions only happen because of high visibility instances such as if there is an off chance that an exec happens to come by and walk your store and somehow are satisfied with your work. On that same note, they nitpick so if you get walked right before interviewing for a promotion and they aren’t satisfied, they will take the opportunity right back.
A lot of employees complain about the job and it’s not the worst and there are some people who are successful. This being said, I feel like it has not advanced my career due to the available promotions.
