How effective is the sales training program at Total Quality Logistics (TQL) for individuals interested in pursuing a career in sales at the company?

Short answer is there is incredibly little sales training, and the training that exists is dependent on the sales team you are assigned to. There is no standardized training across the company. Now, there are two ways to look at this...

1. Run the other direction - you will get no sales development or training. Find another company.
2. Embrace the fact that there is no training and learn everything yourself - network within the company, invest in books and other resources, and of course, learn by trial and error

My recommendation after being here for 7 months? Run the other direction. This job will not set you up well for another job and the chances you get fired are very high. No sales development here unless it is done by yourself. Terrible company.

Answer

They teach you about the industry and very little about what success is to make it as a broker.

Get yourself an adderall rx, get there an hour early, stay an hour late, and prospect previous customers because almost no business will do business with TQL if they know what their practices are like.
