Trace3 is on its third private equity owner, with leadership focused on M&A to inflate the books for resale. Only executives profit from the flips, while the sales team sees less support and weaker resources. The company is no longer customer first. Frequent comp plan changes have made pay less competitive than other VARs. Many top engineers and SEs have left, making it harder to deliver value to customers and win new business.

Opportunities for training are great, sales number requirements can get unrealistic due to ownership from PE firm's expectations. Not as much loyalty to employees if there is any drop in sales numbers.

Great place to work. Culture and support is fantastic for reps and the brand is uniquely positioned in a very saturated market. Cons: very “wild west”. Sink or swim with not much help in the way of business development.
