I would say no. You will be underpaid and overworked. Almost half of the area Account Managers - SMB|Retail are on medical leave for reason. I knew someone personally who had a mental health breakdown. The pay is bad, the structure is even worst. If you do this role please do regular b2b not retail and SMB mix. Your quota suffers from the stores who already hate SMB - their managers intentionally tell them not to sell it anyways. There's a reason why they are losing so many customers each quarter as well. Please take heed. Goodluck

If you got less than 10 years of Sales experience or if you’re coming from a Retail type of selling environment this could be a great role. Frankly, I considered it to be a Customer Service role with a Sales quota.
