What are the key stages of the sales cycle in your role at Vivint, and have you noticed any trends in terms of deal closure difficulty?

I would say the key stages of the sales cycle would be:

Prospecting: As a sales rep at Vivint, it is 100% door-to-door. When you are dropped off in your respective territory, there will be hundreds of homes that you can approach with your pitch. To be most efficient, you want to prospect the neighborhood strategically on what homes you will knock on. Look for things like cars in the driveway, lights on in the home, or even if it just rained you can see dry spots in the driveway which can indicate the homeowner recently left the home so you can circle back later.

The other most important parts would be overcoming objections and smokescreens at the door, qualifying the prospect early on in your pitch so you don't waste your time. Your presentation of the product once your inside the home, closing the sale, and a lot of following up.

The only trends in deal closure I would say really just depends on the type of territory you are in and how you can adjust your pitch to that territory. For example, I found it much easier to sell to lower income households (more crime) than it was in middle class. It really just depends on your style which you will find out within a couple weeks working at the company.
