Working as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Aiven was an enriching and rewarding experience that allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. Meeting targets consistently was rewarding, but the workload sometimes felt overwhelming. The supportive work environment helped foster growth, yet there were instances where communication gaps hindered progress. Overall, my experience at Aiven provided valuable learning opportunities amidst some organizational hurdles.

My overall experience was good. Aiven is a startup with a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The base pay and incentive plan was solid. Unfortunately, the company underwent a "reduction in force' whereas my role was impacted.

I found the sales organisation to be riddled with numerous contradictions. Cold calling is certainly important, but I thought it was a major problem that it was the only way to generate new business.
