Great place to transition into tech or for those needing a stable environment. People stay for the work-life balance and supportive coworkers. Leadership is pretty accessible but sometimes they can be stuck in the EAB way, meaning there’s no real “thinking outside the box.” Not much cross-team/cross-division collaboration as it should be for continued business growth. Some teams feel redundant in their service, begging the question of overall firm structure and role scoping. Growth opportunities within teams feel limited but internal transfers are welcomed. Compensation is a firm-wide pain point. DEI still needs more work. White colleagues often rank this highly just because they see POC existing but don’t account for their lived experiences. They hire diverse at lower levels but don’t promote diverse (unless the team is super small). Management is equitable on gender but very white. Leadership is heavily white, heavily male. There’s a subtle undercurrent of infantilizing talent of color which results in their expertise, performance, and contributions being relegated to bare minimum expectations or diluted in its impact. Yet other colleagues’ same output gets celebrated and rewarded. This creates the typical “work twice as hard to get half as much” problem for POCs.
