My overall experience was inconstant at best, and literally life threatening at worst. While pivoting and testing sales techniques is something I enjoy in past roles with startups, my time at PV was full of poorly thought out changes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. This was a while ago, so the company has grown a lot since then. However, some thoughts are below. You’re right that Perfect Venue is a fast-moving startup where we regularly test new strategies and approaches. The ability to pivot and iterate quickly is part of our culture, and we value team members who thrive in that kind of environment. We recognize that these rapid changes can sometimes feel uneven, and we’ve been working to provide more structure and communication around shifts in direction so that everyone feels supported and informed. We want to be clear that employee safety and well-being are non-negotiable priorities. Nothing about working here should ever be “life-threatening,” and we have strict policies, health safeguards, and escalation paths to ensure a safe workplace. We also take issue with the idea that changes are “poorly thought out.” Every adjustment we make is guided by data, customer feedback, and collaboration across departments, though we acknowledge that not every decision lands perfectly the first time. We know that change can be challenging, and we don’t shy away from feedback that helps us improve. Our goal is to continue refining how we communicate and execute those changes so our team can focus on what they do best - building great experiences for our customers.

The leadership at this company is ill informed but surrounded with talent. That talent is consistently ignored. The CEO is temperamental and prone to flights of fancy. This ends with frustrated employees and a constant turnover of middle management. Poor place to work that I would not encourage anyone in a sales or customer success role to entertain

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! Definitely agree with you on some of these points: - We have amazing talent! We have leaders from Toast, Zoom, top venture-backed startups, and even a former Navy SEAL on our team. - Like most fast-growing startups, we have certainly gone through many changes as we constantly seek to improve and serve our customers better. You don't become the highest rated product in a category on G2 without constantly looking to improve. - Getting the right leaders is hard - especially at early-stage startups. We recently have added some key sales leaders and support that have taken the team to record breaking months. Where we would disagree - We have several managers that joined as individual contributors and worked their way up to leadership roles, most of them have been with us since we raised our seed round. - We are constantly looking for the best ideas from inside and outside the company - from our team members to customers to top leaders in our industry. We know that not every experience is perfect, especially during times of growth and change. But we’re committed to transparency, to listening to feedback like yours, and to making Perfect Venue a place where talented people can thrive.
