Product is incredible. In this tough economy, companies are looking to reduce the amount being spent on Kafka and cloud spend. Redpanda has delivered on this. Redpanda has rewritten kafka in C++ to be faster, simpler, and cheaper. A good analogy for Redpanda vs Kafka would be Cassandra vs Scylladb. Data streaming has a large market to go after, and Redpanda will win simply by being a more competitive flavor of Kafka

I've only been here for a quarter and they just hired the CRO. While I think they company is going to grow substantially, I think we are in a recession and we need to take that into account for the current state of the market and companies buy vs building

Love the company, incredible market fit and great community. It is a startup so things change and processes are being built out but an incredible place to work with great stock options.
