Current Employee Although the founders and highly intelligent people, leadership in Sales is a nightmare
They promote individual contributors to leadership roles based on technical skill and admin workflow rather than real leadership skills and characteristics. IC's with 0 leadership/people skills are being trusted leading large groups of people, this is a disaster recipe when incompetence and fragile egos clash.
It is strictly corporate politics, this is the only company i've worked at that do not value new ideas and asking questions
if you ask questions because you genuinely want to grow, you will be seen as a threat and as challenging the very insecure incompetent managers and you will be let go, regardless of your numbers, KPIs or amount of revenue you've been bringing in.
This makes the founders look bad and questions their intellect and where the company is heading, they will hire based on culture fit rather than skill, and culture fit meaning if you do not come off as a threat to incompetent insecure leaders.
If you want to make fast cash, put your head down, not learn anything and clock in and out, this is the place for you.
