
Account Executive

As we continue to expand our reach, we're looking for a driven Account Executive to join our team and drive our sales efforts with enterprise-level nonprofit clients.
The Account Executive will play a key role in Instil's growth by building and managing relationships with large nonprofit organizations. This role requires a consultative sales approach, deep empathy for the nonprofit sector, and the ability to translate Instil's technology into tangible solutions that drive meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within mid-market to enterprise-level nonprofits to expand Instil’s presence and market share.
- Develop and execute an outreach strategy to bring in new opportunities with both cold and warm prospects.
- Nurture and manage a pipeline of opportunities through a consultative, value-based selling approach.
- Leverage Instil’s technology stack to build relationships with prospects and document sales processes.
Consultative Selling
- Understand the unique challenges and goals of nonprofit organizations to provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct in-depth discovery calls and product demonstrations to align Instil’s offerings with client needs.
- Collaborate closely with potential clients to navigate complex buying processes and support their decision-making journey.
- Sales methodology training preferred but not required: Sandler, MEDDIC, Value Selling, SPICED, SPIN Selling.
Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with C-suite executives, major gift officers, and other key stakeholders in mid-market and enterprise-level nonprofits.
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor and resource, offering insights and expertise to help clients achieve their missions.
- Represent Instil at industry conferences, events, and webinars to foster relationships within the nonprofit sector.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Instil’s Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of go-to-market strategies.
- Provide feedback on client needs, pain points, and industry trends to inform product roadmap and marketing efforts.
Pipeline and Forecast Management
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline within our CRM system.
- Provide regular forecasts and updates to the leadership team.
- Leverage data-driven insights to refine outreach and improve conversion rates.
What You Possess
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SaaS or technology sales, nonprofit or enterprise level sales is desired.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, with a consultative, relationship-oriented sales approach.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Has a strong sense of accountability in a remote work environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools (e.g., Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, Apollo).
Nice To Have
- Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector and experience working with nonprofits.
- Background in moves management or donor relationship management software.

Location: Remote (Los Angeles, New York, or Washington DC preferred)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: OTE $130-$150K
