As Toast continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to help us continue to grow into the Enterprise hospitality space. 

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

As a Senior Solutions Engineer you will:

  • This role will focus on Sports & Entertainment, Restaurants and Hotels. 
  • Act as a trusted partner to Franchise Account Executives to win new hospitality brands by providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with global corporate dining businesses to define a clear vision and strategy that demonstrates why their subsidiaries should choose Toast as a partner.
  • Translate business goals into tailored solutions that align with customer requirements.
  • Leverage hospitality industry experience to consult with prospects on how Toast can drive competitive performance.
  • Answer technical questions about integrations, APIs, data, and security, translating complex details into clear business value.
  • Travel onsite as needed to meet with customer stakeholders, support pilots, and strengthen executive relationships.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Hospitality, POS Knowledge or related industry experience required
  • Experience with multi-location brands, enterprise/franchise IT systems, or complex organizational structures is highly desirable.
  • Must be willing to travel 30% or more to support business needs.
  • Requires strong presentation skills, including executive presence and the ability to articulate complex products and ideas with clarity.
  • Highly collaborative, serving as a trusted partner to sales, onboarding, and product teams.
  • Strong understanding of APIs; coding skills not required.
  • Highly organized, with a proven ability to manage a multi-stage pipeline of high-touch deals while maintaining strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Ability to handle complex customer communications fluently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills

Special Sauce* (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
  • Experience with  MEDDPICC or similar structured sales methodologies.
  • Prior B2B sales experience within the upmarket restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors.
