Currently interviewing for a commercial AE role at Algolia and am curious what the vibe is like on the team. I've read about layoffs that happened there. Is it worth accepting an offer if I get one?

100% accept if you get an offer. Algolia is doing well, has excellent product market fit, and an excellent comp plan. 
Leadership is fantastic, too.

I'd be weary. I didn't experience much professional development so career pathing was challenging. I've heard of very few people getting promoted out of comm, which if you're a young seller, you want pathing and guidance. Also, many reps that don't perform quickly get PIPed out with minimal severance

There were no real layoffs at Algolia. We had a very small RIF in Feb 2022 that did not touch sales. The team culture is great, the managers are good people. If you're someone who can't handle doing outbound at all for yourself, this may not be a great role but otherwise it's a good place to be.

Yeah I would agree that there isn’t much training in place across the board and not much enablement if you’re not on target and you can easily be pipped and laid off. Although product is great so if you have good steer on E-commerce and good closing exp then this could be a good fit. WFH may be poss
