Why is base comp so low at Angi? 4th percentile - not good.  Is leadership doing anything to change that?

I don't know if these people worked at the same Angi, but there's zero reason to work here. Sale anywhere else. Pay sucks, commissions suck, leads suck, company sucks.

My experience at Angi was a mixed bag. While it's true that the base compensation is lower compared to industry standards, it was partly because the role is quite transactional, mainly dealing with high volume outbound calls to contractors. The organization lacked in areas like training and development, and recruitment, which impacted the overall structure and efficiency.

In my tenure there, I observed a significant lack of investment in the sales reps, both in terms of their professional development and in their pay. The CRM was outdated and there were frequently issues with the pipeline. Even as a top producer, I found myself dealing with sudden changes in the comp structure and inadequate support from leadership.

The company was also challenged with selling the product effectively and has recently stopped allowing reps to prospect in an effort to control payouts. The leadership, in my view, could do a lot better in many areas.

Despite these challenges, there are always opportunities for companies to improve and evolve. Joey Levin and Craig Smith are back at the org, and I sincerely hope that Angi takes necessary measures to address these issues, which would significantly benefit their employees and the company's overall growth.

I worked at angi when it was previously homeadvisor and even though our base was low, ALOT of people were making 6 figures, and then they changed the comp plan and everything went to sh**. I would recommend ANGI to anyone who is looking to start their career in b2b sales to gain experience but for a long term career? absolutely not.

Base is low but commissions are pretty solid. High performing reps make some serious money in a pay period. The chair, if filled properly is worth 6 figures.

The low base is still my least favorite thing about the position. But if you find a rhythm and take advantage of the comp plan, you can set yourself up for $8-$10k months with residuals that can come in from $6-$12k.
