Apartments.com inside sales for mid-market started off in a good spot but upper management has made the role worse as time has past. I made just over $100k last year however there is much less earning potential since the launch of Homes.com. The CEO is using the existing sales force to sell a new "start up " listing service that is not as in demand as he thought. I now work 2 jobs and if I dont meet the min quota at Homes.com, I lose 25% of my entire commission check from Apartments.com. I am actively looking for a new role.

Fine starter sales job, more of an account manager role than sales. Commission plan changes on a regular basis (every 2-3 months) typically with impact by meaningless metric. Many tasks in this role don’t drive sales or revenue, more of box checking. Opportunity to earn is highly dependent on the market you’re given.

Very market dependent. Not all markets have the same opportunity and it’s difficult to overcome. Commission structure is good but reversals make it very hard to hit goal.
