I worked at Bloomberg LP for six years in a sales capacity. While Bloomberg the brand is respected in the industry, your success at the organization can be highly dependent on the product you're selling or the sales team that you are part of. I had both excellent and terrible managers. Unfortunately my teammates abandon the ship over time as were not incentivized to exceed quota and compensated us on purely on a decent base salary, solid benefits and end of year bonus structure. Without a true sales commission component, there is no incentive to exceed targets.

I worked at Bloomberg in sales and it was the most toxic corporate environment I’ve experienced. It’s not about results – it’s about politics, compliance theater, and keeping your head down while the wrong people get promoted.
