My role in the channel has been a unique one as I was the first "Channel development Rep" hired at the company, so there were a lot of changes in my tenure. Fantastic team, culture, and competitive pay for other channel roles in Canada. My complaint would be that sometimes leadership makes changes too fast without consulting it's sellers, and does not consider the day-to-day implications.

I've been at BlueCat many years and it was once a "hidden gem that has been around for 20+ years that operates as a startup", and that culture is long gone. PE has come in, lowered commission rates, off-shored the renewals team to Serbia, and we don't even get Quota Retirement for all of the products we sell anymore. Pros: Strong PMF in DDI. Cons: PE firm going to spin company out again soon, large renewal increases are focus for leadership. Outsourced all CS and Support to Serbia which is not working - extremely limited GTM support for sellers that is leaner than a startup.
