BG had a fairly thorough training program covering key facets of selling into supply chain. Where they lack is with keeping high level talent, competitive commission, and organization within the company. Leadership can be unclear with goals and directives. Low level management can be immature and inconsistent within the Phoenix office. Very hesitant to provide help when asked point blank. Like to joke around and avoid work so if you take your role and career seriously, I would avoid this culture and company.

Great place to start off a sales career. You are able to master the basics of selling- cold calling emails and prospecting. Moving up within the organization however is difficult without having further outside experience in logistics/sales.

When the company was smaller it was good to work for. When it started expanding, like any other brokerage it started reducing compensation and implementing changes that actually reduced your day to day booking. Some very excellent people that work there. Also, some not very excellent people. Depends on the team you end up on. Any 3pl or freight sales role is tough...Read More
