Totally depends. When I was there, I had the best manager. He understood that new hires were in a learning process. He trained to the best of his ability, and encouraged growth. As long as I was doing my job, he was happy. He fought for me when it came around to my bonuses. And, for the most part, I feel like he treated me fairly.

But, I've heard horror stories of other managers. Some have been downright unreasonable. Others have been hard on their team like a football coach. But, if you're doing your job, then you're not going to have any issues.
